During the Holiday 5k in Huntersville, NC on 12/13/2014, the
Tether Team organized by our Charlotte Running Club broke the world record for
most runners completing a 5k while tethered. The previous record stood at 116
runners. CRC broke with this record by fielding a team of 178 (number to be
confirmed) runners via results provided by Start 2 Finish.
Over the next the week all of the materials required for
proof of accomplishment will be assembled and then sent off to Guinness World
Records for final approval.
Congratulation to CRC and all tether team members for making
this happen and bringing a Guinness World Record to Charlotte, NC.
