CRC's Guinness WR Tether Team - Update II

On December 13, 2014 at 8 AM, our club will attempt to break the Guinness Book World Record of 116 runners tethered together while completing a 5k race.

The Huntersville 5k in Huntersville, NC will be the hosting race for our attempt.

There is no cost to be on our team, but team members will have to register for the race (costing $20) so you are listed in the official results. These results will be turned over to Guinness as part of our proof of accomplishment.

In addition to the race shirt, each Tether Team member will receive a special edition CRC/Guinness World Holder Shirt.

Our first test run will be 10/7/14 @ 6:15 PM at the Huntersville Fleet Feet Store.

Our goal is to have a 200 team members by race day. If you are worried about speed, we suspect that it may take us upwards of 40 minutes for more for us to complete the course.

If you are interested, please email run.charlotte@gmail.com.

Additional details and updates can be found on our Facebook page.

Come be on a world record setting team,

Bill Shires
Charlotte Running Club President and CRC Tether Team Captain.
