It's b-a-a-ck! The old Sharksbite run!

OK, this is SPECIAL*. (No, really!)

If you follow Master Runner Bill Shire’s blog, you may remember a recent entry lamenting the lack of what he called “signature runs” in town, and recalling the glory days of Tim Long’s Thursday Sharksbite run from the Dilworth Charlotte Running Company. That run is still going on, and we’re having a SPECIAL* commemorative reprise on Thursday March 17th (St. Patrick's Day, for all you unfortunate non-Irish people out there). Bill is going to run, the Charlotte Running Company is on board and will arrange for a clock and water and tiny prizes (thanks, Scott and Dana!), and it’ll be more fun than you can shake a stick at (whatever THAT means ... ). Tim thinks it’s a great idea, and sent a link to the first St. Patrick’s Day run he put on here 7 years ago – do you know any of the runners? I'm making version 5.0 of my not-yet-world-famous Guinness bread with Added Antioxidants (i.e. dark chocolate) and I don't know who could ask for anything more ... oh, and there's a SPECIAL* prize if you show up in an old Sharksbite shirt!

You can enter by sending me an e-mail, or just show up (but it would be nice to have some idea of how many to expect).

Thursday March 17th, 6:00 pm, at the Charlotte Running Company, Dilworth
ALL the cool kids will be there, as well as me, Eimear, emgoggin@gmail.com
P-P-Possible Post-race Pick-me-up in Picasso's?

* your idea of SPECIAL may not be exactly the same as mine ... just sayin'
